imaginary friend: what's troubling you?
me: this. *points to the PC's monitor*
i.f: and do you think that'll help you?
me: obviously not.
i.f: and so, what will you do about 'this'?
me: we will kill. we will avenge. we will give misery.
i.f: that's bullshit.
me: why?
i.f: simply because the universe is so vast.
me: we're not talking about the universe damn it!
i.f: of course we're not. it's still a needle in a hay stack.
me: we are talking about them still right? so why is it a needle? shouldn't it be needles?!
i.f: screw you, i talk my own language woah-man.

...

me: tsk. why are you still here anyway? you should have been long gone.
i.f: when you're lonely. i'm always here.
me: i'm not lonely now.
i.f: sure you are. you're in denial.
me: no, i'm not.
i.f: now now. you do know that i only come around when you're lonely right?
me: no, i don't know.
i.f: you're such a liar. ever heard of a story about the boy who cried 'wolf! wolf!'?
me: yes. and so?
i.f: you're the wolf.
me: I'm the wolf? what the fuck?!!
i.f: wolves are liars.
me: and your point is?
i.f: i never knew a wolf could cry.

...

me: i need a nose job. i fucking hate my nose!
i.f: you need a blow job as well.
me: i don't have a dick.
i.f: pretend you have one then.
me: ah tsk. then what, you're gonna blow my imaginary dick? how apt.
i.f: i'm no gay man.
me: fuck you. i'm just telling you that i need a nose job.
i.f: alright here. SUCK MY NOSE THEN!
me: FUCK YOU!!!

...

me: do you think he's lying to me?
i.f: well, what do you think?
me: i think he is.
i.f: how's that so?
me: look here. *points to the monitor's screen* see?
i.f: and what's that?
me: they're still at it. i think they're still together. he's just lying. i'm probably just something.
i.f: something?
me: something to fill up his time i guess. until they're better.
i.f: better? better in what?
me: i don't know.
i.f: if you feel that way, then why do you bother trying?
me: because.
me:because...
i.f: because....???
me: because the other part of me tells me that he's not.
i.f: you're dumb. your other part is me. so it's you who thinks that he's not.
me: i choose which part i want to stand in. you just shut up and drive.
i.f: drive? we're not in a car and you don't have a car. you don't even have a license.
me: make one up then, asshole.

do you know what I'll never be?

I'll never be perfect.

Friday, May 25, 2007

I've just heard that Avaaz - a new online campaigning group that I joined - is running a campaign to keep Iraqi oil in the hands of Iraqis. The US government is pressuring the Iraqi Parliament to pass a National Oil Law that could give control of the majority of Iraqi oil fields to foreign companies.

Over 900,000 people from every corner of the globe have already taken actions on global issues through Avaaz.org. They are able to have a serious impact! This petition will be presented by Iraqi Parliamentarians - Sunni, Shia and Kurd - so that all Iraqi leaders know that the world stands with them in standing up to President Bush.

sign the petition!

-------

Dear Avaaz supporter,

Amidst rising bloodshed, the Iraqi Parliament has been given til 31st May to pass a flawed oil law that would give unprecedented power to multinational companies to control Iraq’s oil fields for the next three decades. President Bush imposed the deadline, and Big Oil is putting on the pressure. But brave Iraqi leaders are resisting -- and they need our help.

Members of the Iraqi Parliament – including Sunni, Kurdish and Shia leaders – have promised us they'll read out Avaaz's petition of solidarity to their colleagues. Many are wavering, scared to oppose the Bush-backed law. They could find resolve if the world stands with them. So sign the petition today – let's make 100,000 voices heard in Iraq's Parliament before they vote.

Our simple message – we support Iraq’s sovereign right to her own oil, it should be distributed fairly to the Iraqi people, and the Iraqi national parliament should decide this without foreign interference.

Oil contributes 70% of Iraq's GDP. The draft law proposes unprecedented deals for multinational oil companies that are used nowhere else in the Middle East, because they lock up revenues and control for a generation. It even proposes foreign companies should sit on the national council deciding contracts.

Here's what the Head of the Iraqi Federation of Oil Unions, Hassan Jum'a Awwad, recently said:
"Iraq is passing through the most difficult of times, because all and sundry are hounding it and covet a share of its riches. Everyone knows that the oil law does not serve the Iraqi people, and that it serves Bush, his supporters and the foreign companies at their expense."

It's a rare sign of hope to see Iraqis coming together on anything, but this law is bad enough to unite many. They're asking for our help -- so let's tell them the world supports their right to set their own future. Sign on and help us reach 100,000 voices before they present the petition to the Parliament:

Click here and sign the petition, please. And it's different from the one below. So please sign both.

In peace,

Ricken, Graziela, Paul and the Avaaz Team

Thank you.
Dear friends,

Just when we thought the war in Iraq couldn't get any worse - it has.
Last night, President Bush rejected reality, spurned the American people's verdict,
and announced his new policy: MILITARY ESCALATION IN IRAQ.

The good news is that the newly elected United States Congress can stop this madness.
We're launching an immediate campaign to let the Congress hear from global voices -
placing an ad with the number of signatures toour petition in "Roll Call",
an influential political paper sent to every member of the US Congress.

Click below to see the ad, and sign the petition:

With hope,

Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.
(Genesis 19:32-36)

Heh!

It just means, If there are no acceptable men to be found in the area, a woman shall ply her father with wine and have sex with him in order to produce progeny to carry on the family name.

HEH! Sorry, I just find that funny.
In a sick, funny way.
Bleargh.
Heh.

A very dumb American person said,

'eh, they're wearing a kuffiyah, but doesn't that promote terrorism?'

Ooo, you ignorant stereotypical bastard.

We know the political statement made by those kuffiyahs BUT it is insulting to associate a scarf (because a kuffiyah is basically, well, just a scarf) with terrorism!

What was and still is considered as a national pride is called terrorism?

STUPID AMERICAN!

So how come the Mao Jacket is not associated with marxism?
Mao Zedong was from china, so how come all the chinese around the world are not marxist?

Sherwani Suit, baju kurung, Pulatesi, Toga, Koto and whatever else there is, are not associated with something else?
They are still worn by their people, and still in fashion, mind you.
They are traditional clothings, and they are their national pride.

The hype came about when leading fashion shops such as Topshop, St. Marks and Urban outfitters sold kuffiyah in their stores.
Some americans rallied and demanded the kuffiyahs to be taken off the shelves due to it's political reasons.
Heh, dumb asses.

You Americans should put in consideration that the reason why kuffiyahs are still being worn by the Middle Eastern people today are the same reasons why anyone would wear a hat and a cap on a hot bloody day and an umbrella on rainy days.

How come your 'patriotism' that kills thousands of people in Iraq today is more forgiving, eh?
Isn't your 'patriotism' the American's national pride?
Would it be fair, if everyone from the whole world refers the americans as the 'patriotic happrolini'?

Happrolini, which means dry nosed, is the scientific term used to refer to the monkeys and apes.
After all, your president is a monkey.
And dumber compared to a primate.

And in case you don't know, the U.S declined Tehran's proposal to end the war back in 2003.
And what the U.S demands now were what Tehran offered then.

Don't believe me?
Read it here.

See? I told you he's dumber than a primate.

so singapore ministers will get up to 33% pay raise.
oh, great.

that is like upteen thousands plus upteen thousands.
possibly even a million point something.

so if they retire,
they'll get a nice bungalow house, comes with a nice swimming pool,
a few cars, and hey, a couple of mistresses if they want too as well.

and that white shirt will be in their closet as a momento.

let's see:

my mother has worked as a common government worker for 36 years.
raised 3 children by herself.

and when she retired,
she received gifts from her friends and colleagues and a nice lovely dinner.

she received a testimonial from the sector and from the president for her loyalty.

printed paper: $2 from any printing company
glass plateau: $5
total: $7.

she appreciates the testimonials of course.
and she's damn proud of it,
simply because she earned it alot more than what's it worth.

and oh, she didn't get to have any bungalows or a nice swimming pool.
we actually just moved from one HDB to another HDB, a smaller one at that.
and no, she didn't get herself any mistress either. (BWAHAHA!)

okay, let's see man.

the ministers said that;
with their current pay, it is insufficient.

OHHHH!!! IZZZIT?!
not enough ah?!!
eh, which supermarket you go to ah?
SupraMarket3050 is it?! Where 5 apples will costs you $500 ah?!

Eh, go to sheng siong can? Only $2.50 for 6 apples ah! NOT 5 BUT 6! SIX!!!

Then don't stay at a bungalow ok? Stay in a normal HDB, can? Jumbo even if you want to.
No need your cars, 1 car is enough la ah.
Better still, use public transport.

You say your job really tough,
come on man!
Who ever had that easy anyway?
EVERYBODY'S job is tough!

The old aunty in NYP, talkative, nice old lady, cleaner.
Everyday clean, everyday talk.
2 blocks, 6 floors each.
Pay: Approximately $800.
Her job super easy ah?
Just because it's cleaning and doesn't require much mental stimulations, ah?

And corruption?
You increase your own pay just so there wouldn't be any corruptions?
Firstly, people, common people, aren't able to write their own paychecks.
Secondly, it doesn't matter how high a person's pay is, if they're greedy,
then surely they'd want more.

Man + 'I don't have money' = Go get a job.
Man + 'Pay's small, but I know I can survive' = Grateful.
Man + 'I have more than enough' = Content.
Man + 'I have more than enough actually, but I want more!' = Greed.

Greed is the cost for corruption.
See the paradox? See the hypocrisy?

And lastly, nobody will leave you if they love you.
Yes, love.

Just like lovers.
No matter how ugly or even stupid your girlfriend is,
if she's able to light your way in the darkness,
if she's able to hold your heart in the fire,
if she can make you smile even when your sorrows are deeper than your wounds,
then surely, without a doubt, you will never leave her.

So your 'talents' will never leave you, if they're comfortable with you.

Now now, i'm not being ungrateful for what my government has done,
I am actually grateful.
Otherwise, i'd still be drinking water from a well.

and the reason why ministers are ministers are simply because they're smart.
and brave enough to make a stand.
To change.
To improvise.
To help and support fellow men.

But don't say it's insufficient.
2% GST increase somemore for common people like us.
that's alot for our necessities.

I thought ah, if you work with the people for the people,
and the party's actions are for the people,
then shouldn't you be just like the people?

and i quote,
by David Marshall.
back in 1994.

'I never earned $60,000 a month or $90,000 a month. When I was Chief Minister, I earned $8,000 a month. Look, what is happening today is we are encouraged to and are becoming worshippers of the Golden Calf.

We have lost sight of the joy and excitement of public service, helping our fellow men. The joy and excitement of seeking and understanding of the joy of the miracle of the living the duty and the grandeur. We have lost taste for heroic action in the service of our people.

We have become good bourgeois seeking comfort, security. It’s like seeking a crystal coffin and being fed by intravenous injections through pipes in the crystal coffin; crystal coffins stuck with certificates of your pragmatic abilities.'

eh, $8,000 was more than enough back then, right?
HELL! $8,000 for me NOW is more than enough as well!
KNN!

it's beautiful.
that you're able to feel,
and let your imagination run wild,
when you listen to a song,
a piece,
someone playing the piano.

and you listen,
and you feel.
just feel.

it really is beautiful.
